Renders show Oppo R11 smartphone with Snapdragon 660-soc
Renders of what should be the Oppo R11 and R11 Plus have surfaced. The main smartphones in the Chinese manufacturer’s lineup have a dual camera and a 3.5mm jack for headsets.
The R11 in the picture has a horizontally positioned dual camera on the back, like the iPhone 7 Plus from Apple. The design also resembles the Apple smartphone, with antenna lines bent upwards on the metal back. This is evident from the renders that AndroidPure has put online. At the bottom, Oppo has placed a 3.5mm jack for headsets, next to the USB-C port.
The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660-soc. The American processor designer said at the announcement last month that the Snapdragon 660 would appear in smartphones within two months. The 660 has eight Kryo 260 processor cores at up to 2.2GHz with an Adreno 510 GPU. Oppo will add 4GB of RAM to this. The R11 would have a 5.5 “full HD screen. According to rumors, there will also be a Plus variant with a larger screen, a battery with a higher capacity and more memory.
According to previous rumors, Oppo will announce the R11 in a week and a half. The phone should be in Chinese stores soon after. The R series is the main series of smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer. Oppo is a sister company of OnePlus and is in itself fourth in the global smartphone market, after Samsung, Apple and Huawei. If parent company BBK adds up the deliveries of Oppo, OnePlus and the third brand Vivo, the Chinese company delivers more smartphones than Huawei and Apple and ends up in second place behind Samsung.
