Renders show OnePlus 7 variant that looks a lot like 6T
Renders have appeared online that would show the design of a OnePlus 7 variant. This time it would be the regular variant and it would look almost the same as the OnePlus 6T. The variant with pop-up camera shown earlier would be the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The renders were put online by Pricebaba and made in collaboration with OnLeaks. The latter has a good reputation when it comes to making renders of smartphones that have not yet been announced.
The device in the renders is almost identical to the existing OnePlus 6T. Like that model, the new phone has a teardrop notch in the screen. A small difference can be seen on the back: the flash is now located in the bulge in which the cameras are also incorporated. The cameras seem to stick out a little more than with the OnePlus 6T.
According to the information from OnLeaks, the device has dimensions of 157.7×74.8×8.1mm. That’s the thickness without the camera sticking out; at that point the device is 9.5mm thick. The dimensions are almost the same as the OnePlus 6T, which measures 157.5×74.8×8.2mm according to the specifications.
At the beginning of March, renders of the OnePlus 7 also appeared. That was a device with a different design. The screen has no notch, because there is a pop-up front camera in the housing. This model also has three cameras on the back. Pricebaba and OnLeaks now think that this device is the OnePlus 7 Pro. That device would also support 5G and have a curved OLED screen.
Pete Lau, CEO and founder of OnePlus, will announce something about a new device on Wednesday. That’s what he says on Twitter. This is probably a first teaser. The manufacturer often gives small hints or details about new smartphones in the run-up to the full announcement.
