Renders show OnePlus 12 with periscopic zoom camera
Renders have appeared of what would become the OnePlus 12. The design is very similar to the OnePlus 11, but on the back you can see that the phone will have a camera with a periscopic zoom lens.
This is a 64-megapixel camera from Omnivision, the OV64B, say OnLeaks and Smartprix. The other two cameras are 50-megapixel cameras. One of them will be the primary camera, while the other will have an ultra-wide-angle lens. It would be the first time that OnePlus has installed a periscopic zoom camera in one of its smartphones. Because it uses a mirror to direct the light at a 90-degree angle, a longer focal length is possible and the camera can therefore have a narrower angle of view. This leads to more ‘zoom’ compared to the primary camera.
The front camera has been moved from the top left corner to the top center of the screen. The phone would also have slightly thinner edges than the current OnePlus 11. The device would have a 6.7″ OLED screen. The SoC would be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 from Qualcomm. That SoC does not currently exist. The phone will be available according to OnLeaks and Smartprix out next year.
