Renders have been released of a fourth Motorola smartwatch that would appear this year. The round clock has a Snapdragon Wear 4100 text on the housing, a sign that the watch has the new soc on board.

In addition to the text ‘Snapdragon Wear 4100’, there is also NFC, GPS and ATM5 or ATM3 on the housing, 9to5Google reports. In addition, there is a transparent back with a charging coil, which indicates that the watch can charge wirelessly. Current Motorola smartwatches use pogo pins to charge.

The Snapdragon Wear 4100 came out last year and is Qualcomm’s latest soc for smartwatches. It is made on a 12nm process, which is much smaller than the previous 28nm process. According to the manufacturer, the 12nm-soc offers 85 percent higher CPU performance than the predecessors and a 2.5x faster GPU.

An investor presentation that has been leaked already showed three smartwatches that should be released in the coming summer. A Moto G Smartwatch would be released in June. The G designation suggests that it will be a relatively affordable smartwatch, just like the Moto G smartphone series. A month after this smartwatch, a rectangular Moto Watch and a round Moto One should come out. Other slides show that the watches run Wear OS.
