Renders show Huawei P50 smartphone with flat screen and two large cameras
OnLeaks has published renders of the upcoming Huawei P50 smartphone. This shows that the smartphone will have a flat 6.3 “screen and a camera island with two large ‘circles’. The P50 series will be officially announced at the end of March, according to previous rumors.
The Huawei P50 has dimensions of 156.7 x 74.0 mm and is 10.6 mm thick at the camera island, reports OnLeaks on Voice. This leaker regularly publishes renders of unannounced smartphones, which he bases on CAD drawings from accessory makers. According to OnLeaks, the P50 will be equipped with a 6.3 “screen with flat edges and a ‘hole’ for the selfie camera. According to the leaker, the Huawei P50 will have a metal frame, while the back of the device would be made of glass.

Most notable, however, is the camera island, which OnLeaks says contains two “huge” camera circles. OnLeaks says it has no specifications for the camera setup yet, but according to rumors, the P50 series will be equipped with the first 1″ sensor. OnLeaks mentions the unannounced Sony IMX800 as a possibility, but this has not yet been confirmed. leaker wrote earlier this week that each circle is expected to contain multiple camera sensors, OnLeaks did when it shared renders of the Huawei P50 Pro.
With a 6.6 “screen, the P50 Pro is larger than the regular P50 and will also have slightly curved screen edges, the leaker reports. The two smartphones also have a similar design. The phones have stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the housing The Huawei P50 and P50 Pro would also both get a fingerprint scanner under the screen.
OnLeaks does not report technical specifications of the Huawei P50 series. For example, it is not known which soc Huawei uses in its upcoming high-end smartphone. The smartphone manufacturer announced a new foldable smartphone in February. That device is equipped with a HiSilicon Kirin 9000-soc, which is produced on TSMC’s 5nm node. It is not yet known when Huawei will announce its P50 phones, but Huawei leaker Rodent950 claimed last month that the devices would be introduced in the last weekend of March.
