Renders show Huawei Mate 20 with 6.53 “screen
WinFuture has put renders of the Huawei Mate 20 online. The images show a device with a large screen with a small notch. There are three cameras on the back. Huawei will present the device on October 16, along with the Mate 20 Pro.
The Mate 20 will have a 6.53″ screen with a resolution of 2244×1080 pixels, journalist Roland Quandt writes on the German website WinFuture. Quandt is known for publishing official images of unannounced smartphones.
The regular Mate 20 will have an LCD and the notch in the screen is much smaller than with the Mate 20 Pro, where renders have already appeared. The regular Mate 20 probably only has a front camera in the notch and there are no sensors that can be used for facial recognition. The device has a fingerprint scanner on the back.
According to WinFuture, the housing of the Mate 20 consists of glass and metal. There are three cameras on the back, at least the primary camera would be the 40-megapixel copy from the P20 Pro, the resolution and function of the other two cameras is not yet known. The battery has a capacity of 4000mAh.
Huawei will provide the Mate 20 with the Kirin 980-soc, which is made at 7nm. There would be versions with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB ram, the configuration differs per country. The storage would be at least 64GB, while versions with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB are also expected.
The device would cost about 750 euros, while the Mate 20 Pro will probably cost around 1000 euros. WinFuture states that Huawei may not release the regular version of the Mate 20 in all countries. The Mate 10 was not released in the Benelux last year.
