Renders show design of Huawei P40 and P40 Pro smartphone
Renders of the upcoming P40 and P40 Pro smartphone from Chinese manufacturer Huawei have appeared. Based on the renders, the devices will have a rectangular camera island that protrudes slightly from the frame.
The renders are published by the website 91mobiles and are provided by OnLeaks. The latter is known for creating renders based on CAD files. The rectangular camera module on the back of the regular P40 gets four sensors; it is not yet known how many cameras the P40 Pro will receive, although 91mobiles reports that there are rumors about five cameras. It seems that both devices are equipped with a glass back.
The Huawei P40 will have a flat screen with a diagonal that measures 6.1 or 6.2″, while the P40 Pro will probably get a larger screen with a diagonal of 6.5 to 6.7″ that is curved on all four sides. and thus, like many screens of Samsung phones, folds into the housing, as it were. According to OnLeaks, the frame has a different design at the corners.
Both versions get a USB-C connection, speakers at the bottom and the volume and power buttons are on the right. A 3.5mm headphone jack is missing on both the P40 and the P40 Pro. It is still unclear how the front camera is integrated in both devices.
French website Frandroid recently reported that Huawei’s Richard Yu has said the P40 will be announced in Paris by the end of March, but official details on specifications are still lacking.
91mobiles claims that the P40 Pro could have a large battery with a capacity of 5500mAh, including support for 50W charging. Furthermore, the device would get a Kirin 990-soc with integrated 5g modem. Yu already indicated that the P40 Pro will come with Android 10, but without Google apps.
