Renders of unannounced Google Pixel 8 appear online
The unannounced Google Pixel 8 smartphone will have a smaller screen than the Pixel 7. This is evident from alleged specifications of the device, which were published early by OnLeaks and MySmartPrice.
According to OnLeaks’ Pixel 8 renders, which are published by MySmartPrice, the screen will be 6.2″ in size. Its predecessor, the Pixel 7, has a 6.3″ screen. The Pixel 8 measures approximately 150.5×70.8×8.9mm. If you include the camera module, the Pixel 8 is twelve millimeters thick. That camera module has two cameras and will probably miss the telephoto camera compared to the Pixel 8 Pro. Another difference from its predecessor in terms of design is that the Pixel 8’s screen edges are more rounded. The screen edges also look a lot narrower than those of, for example, the Pixel 7.
Antenna lines can be seen on the side of the device, which indicates that the housing of the phone will be made of metal. The Pixel 8 is expected to get the new Google Tensor G3 soc. Renders of the Pixel 8 Pro have previously appeared online. More may be known about the new phone at Google’s I/O developer conference, scheduled for May 10.
