Renders and specifications of GoPro Hero 12 Black leak
Renders and specs of GoPro’s unannounced Hero 12 Black action cam have emerged. The camera gets improved image stabilization and retains the same 5.3k sensor as its predecessor. The camera should be released on September 13 for 450 euros.
The GoPro Hero 12 Black will have a look similar to its predecessor, according to renders in the hands of German tech website WinFuture. The largely black housing does get blue ‘speckles’ this generation, where the Hero 11 Black is completely black. The screens on the front and back maintain a diagonal of 1.40″ and 2.27″ respectively. The dimensions and weight also remain the same.
The sensor of the GoPro Hero 12 Black is also unchanged. The action cam again has a 1/1.19″ sensor that can take 24.7 megapixel photos and record 5.3k video at 60fps. According to WinFuture, GoPro claims that the Hero 12 Black can offer better image stabilization with HyperSmooth 6.0. The software is largely unchanged, according to data sheets seen by the German tech website.
Furthermore, the upcoming action cam should have a better battery life. The Hero 12 Black again uses batteries with a capacity of 1720mAh, but the action cam could record 5.3k images for 70 minutes at 60fps. That’s nine minutes longer than the Hero 11 Black. According to WinFuture, the new Hero 12 Black lasts more than 90 minutes at 30fps, compared to a maximum of 80 minutes in that recording mode with the predecessor.
