Render shows Sony Xperia 5 II with 3.5mm jack and change in fingerprint scanner
A render of the Xperia 5 II from Sony has appeared. According to the render, the smartphone has a 3.5 mm jack, unlike its predecessor, and the fingerprint scanner is no longer recessed in the side of the housing.
The change to no longer recessed the fingerprint scanner will have to do with the complaints that Sony has had from owners of previous models with such a scanner, XDA-Developers thinks who saw the render on the Patreon page of @evleaks.
In addition, there is a 3.5 mm jack on top of the device, something that last year’s predecessor does not have. Sony also put the fingerprint scanner on the Xperia 1 II from earlier this year. In all other respects, the render resembles the model presented last year.
That probably means that the phone has the same OLED screen of 14.2 x 6.1 cm, good for an area of 87 square centimeters. The screen has a diagonal of 6.1 “and a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels. That’s the same 21: 9 aspect ratio as last year’s Xperia 1 II and Sony phones. Three cameras can be seen on the back.
Sony has repeatedly announced IFA Xperia phones at the electronics fair in recent years. That fair will take place next week, but the number of stands and visitors is limited due to the outbreak of the corona virus.
