Render shows LG G6 smartphone
A render of the upcoming LG G6 has appeared online. The render shows the phone with a metal design and a long display with rounded corners. The render corresponds to images that previously appeared of the device in cases.
The render that tech journalist @evleaks online put, shows the G6 in black. Given the edges on the sides, Blass or his source cut out the image from a larger image. An LG logo can be seen below the screen, while the fingerprint scanner is on the back. The dual camera is also visible on the back. The removable bottom for inserting modules is missing in the picture. LG seems to be letting go of the semi-modular concept of the G5.
LG has been posting details about the upcoming device for weeks. So it came this week with information about the dual 13-megapixel camera on the back. The manufacturer also said that the Android smartphone has a quad-dac on board for audio and the South Korean company already presented the 2:1 screen with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels that is in the G6. That screen makes it possible, among other things, to shoot square photos and then view those images without leaving the camera interface; the camera image is then at the top of the screen, while the preview occupies the bottom half of the screen.
The South Korean smartphone maker will hold an event in Barcelona on Sunday prior to the Mobile World Congress telecom fair where it will present the G6. That happens around noon. When the phone will be released and how much it will cost is not yet known.
