Remedy confirms arrival of Alan Wake remaster in the fall
Remedy will release a remaster of Alan Wake in the fall. This is done in collaboration with Epic Games Publishing and the PC version will appear on the Epic Games Store. There will also be versions for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The original game is from 2011.
It is not yet known which improvements the remaster will receive. No images have been shown yet. Same Lake, Remedy’s creative director, only confirms that the remaster is coming for now. He does so on an Alan Wake fan site, as a thank you to the loyal fans. Lake also says that more information will be provided “soon”.
Alan Wake originally appeared only for the Xbox 360, in collaboration with Microsoft. A few years after its release, the game also came out for PC on Steam. A second installment never appeared and the game never appeared on PlayStation consoles.
The remaster will be released for current and previous generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Lake doesn’t give a date, but says the game will be released in the fall. Last weekend a listing of Alan Wake Remastered appeared on a webshop, with October 5 as the release date. Remedy is also rumored to be working on Alan Wake 2, but nothing has been announced yet.
