Remedy coming in 2019 with new game Control
Remedy Entertainment has announced a new game called Control. This third-person game, according to Remedy an action-adventure, will be released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The studio shows an announcement trailer.
According to the announcement, the game revolves around the female character Jesse Faden, who is put in charge of the so-called Federal Bureau of Control after the previous leader is killed by a supernatural force called Hiss. In her new role, Faden has certain abilities and a weapon that can change shape. Remedy, known for titles such as Quantum Break, Max Payne and Alan Wake, says the game will be less linear than its previous games and players will have a lot of choice when it comes to getting into combat.
The published trailer shows footage of a place called The Oldest House; a building that is constantly changing. It can also be seen that the main character can at least make use of objects in her environment, for example by using them to defeat enemies using telekinesis. A separate site about the game mentions that there are many side quests and that players work together with other agents from the Federal Bureau of Control to solve riddles.
