Sega has announced that the Shenmue I and II remasters will be released on August 21. It is a bundle of the two games that originally appeared for Sega’s Dreamcast. The bundle costs 35 euros.

Sega is announcing the release date in a trailer featuring new footage from the remasters. The appearance has not changed much from the original Dreamcast games, but the resolution is higher. Shenmue was one of the first open world games and came out in Europe in late 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast.

The games revolve around martial artist Ryo Hazuki, who seeks revenge for the murder of his father. Shenmue I is set in the early 1980s in Yokosuka, Japan. The second part is set in 1987 in Hong Kong.

In April, Sega announced the remasters, but the publisher didn’t give a release date or price yet. Apart from the remasters there is also a new part on the way; Shenmue III. That game is not made or published by Sega, but by the creator of the series, Yu Suzuki. He has been given the freedom by Sega to make a new part. The new part should be released sometime in 2019.
