Remaster of ten-year-old RPG NieR RepliCant will be released on April 23, 2021

Square Enix will release NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… on April 23rd for consoles and PC. The game is a remaster of the 2010 rpg NieR. The game will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on Steam.

The game is a new version of NieR RepliCant. That game was a variant of NieR from 2010, but with a different main character. Although NieR was released worldwide, the RepliCant version only appeared in Japan. The remaster will be released worldwide. The development was already announced at the beginning of this year. The makers tell on the PlayStation blog that the game should have been released this year, in honor of the tenth anniversary of NieR.

The game is fully called NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… and that long title should indicate that it is an upgraded version of the game. The game will be playable on the next-gen consoles, but has been developed for the current PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game does not use the features of the new consoles. A PC version will also be available via Steam.
