Remake Prince of Persia: Sands of Time will be released in 2022 after delay
Ubisoft has announced that the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake will be released sometime next year. The developer has not announced a specific release date. The game will not be on display during Ubisoft’s Forward presentation at the upcoming E3 game show.
Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai let them know know that they are making a lot of progress, but are not yet ready to reveal new information about the game. The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake has been delayed several times since its unveiling in September 2020. Originally, the game was supposed to be released in January of this year. The corona pandemic was initially the culprit, so then let the developer know. Last February, the game was then indefinitely delayed.
The game is a direct remake of the 2003 action-adventure game of the same name. The original Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was met with largely critical acclaim. The game itself is a reboot of the classic games from the eighties and nineties.
The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake will be released sometime in 2022 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For the PC version, gamers can visit both the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. The game will cost 40 euros, but will also be available as part of the Ubisoft Uplay+ subscription.
