Remaining Dixons stores to close
Dixons closes its 33 remaining stores and continues to sell online. Some of the stores of the electronics chain continue as Phone House, iCentre or MyCom. Dixons’ stocks will be cleared in the coming weeks.
De Telegraaf reports this in response to a message from Relevant Holdings. Relevant Holdings took over various store formulas from the bankrupt BAS Group on December 31, 2015. Relevant Holdings already owned Phone House, Option1, Typhone and Skouter. The company added Dixons, iCentre and MyCom two months ago. MyCom was resold immediately afterwards.
Many employees will probably be able to work for one of the other chains of Relevant Holdings. The integration of iCentre is going according to plan, Connexieb2b writes. New agreements have been made with Apple, among others. According to Connexieb2b, iCentre will soon also start selling telephone subscriptions.
The logistics center of the former BAS Group in Almere will soon also supply Phone House, Option1, Typhone and MyCom. For Dixons, according to the owner of Relevant Holdings, it is best to continue as an online retailer.
