Relic Entertainment Announces Company of Heroes 3
Developer Relic Entertainment has announced Company of Heroes 3. The game was revealed in a trailer and the developer was also able to show the first gameplay. The game is still in the alpha phase and will be released for PC in the second half of 2022.
In a live stream, Relic Entertainment announced a new installment in the Company of Heroes series. The game is set again during World War II and Relic Entertainment has chosen occupied Italy as the location this time. The starting point is the Allied invasion in 1943.
Company of Heroes 3 will once again have a single player campaign, but will also support multiplayer. Fans can sign up for future alpha and beta testing on the developer’s website. In addition to the announcement trailer, Relic Entertainment has also already shown the first gameplay of the game.
Relic Entertainment is known for several RTS games, including the Homeworld games, the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series and therefore Company of Heroes. In addition, the studio is also currently working on Age of Empires IV, which should be released for PC later this year.
The last installment in the Company of Heroes series was released in 2013. The game focuses on the conflict between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany on the Eastern Front during World War II. The original came out in 2006.
