According to HueBlog, Philips is working on new versions of the Lightstrip Plus and Hue Bloom. The new Lightstrip Plus can be cut into pieces at certain points, but also reconnected again. The new Bloom has a significantly higher brightness.

HueBlog writes that special connector pieces are supplied with the Lightstrip Plus and that the new generation is also constructed in such a way that when the strips are cut off on the indicated piece, they can be reconnected. According to the blog, the maximum brightness is still 1600 lumens and the strips can be expected to be cut every 33 centimeters. Furthermore, it can be seen on the packaging that this updated version also supports bluetooth. HueBlog does not yet have a price and release date. The old Lightstrip costs 79.95 euros at Philips itself.

The Hue Bloom gets a brightness of up to 500 lumens, while the old model still has a relatively low 120 lumens. This model must also have bluetooth, so that the Hue Bridge is no longer a requirement. The blog also does not yet have a price and release date for the new Bloom. The old Bloom has a suggested retail price of 69.95 euros.

The stock situation of these products also seems to be in line with an upcoming update: none of the Lightstrips are available on the Hue site and the current Hue Bloom cannot be found on meethue.com at all.
