Red Magic releases first monitor
ZTE Nubia’s gaming brand Red Magic has announced its first monitor. The product is called 4K Gaming Monitor and has a 27″ IPS LCD with a refresh rate of 160Hz. The monitor is not yet coming to Europe.
Until now, Nubia mainly released smartphones under the name Red Magic, but with the 4K Gaming Monitor, the brand is now entering a new market. It is a 16:9 screen of 27″ with, as the name implies, 3840×2160 pixels. The maximum claimed brightness is 650 candelas per square meter, with peaks to 1300 candelas per square meter. The screen can display one billion colors .
The refresh rate can change from 48Hz to 160Hz, the manufacturer says. The monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, a USB-C port that can charge a connected device at 90W, two USB-A ports, a USB-B port, a headphone jack and a connection for the adaptor. The manufacturer has not yet announced a price.
