Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone with fan and 90Hz screen comes out for 479 euros
Nubia will release its Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone worldwide on Monday. The device stands out with its built-in fan and OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. A version with 8GB ram and 128GB flash storage costs 479 euros.
The Red Magic Mars 3 has a Snapdragon 855-soc and the fan can work four to five degrees cooler under load, the manufacturer says. The small fan in the phone rotates at a maximum of 14,000 revolutions per minute. There is also a heatpipe in the device, just like in many other gaming smartphones. The battery is a 5000mAh copy and that ensures that it is a fairly large and heavy device. The dimensions are 171.7×78.5×9.65mm and the weight is 215 grams.
The Android device has a 6.65″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The refresh rate is a maximum of 90Hz, which is higher than most smartphones, which are stuck at 60Hz. The OnePlus 7 Pro is currently the only other smartphone with a 90Hz OLED screen Razer previously released a gaming smartphone with an LCD that goes up to 120Hz.
Nubia presented the device in China at the end of April, when it concerned variants with 6 and 8 GB of ram. The version that will be released in Europe has at least 8GB of RAM and there is also a variant with 12GB of RAM. That model has 256GB of flash storage and costs 599 euros. Nubia offers its Red Magic smartphones through its own website.
