Red Dead Redemption 2 supports up to 32 players in multiplayer
Rockstar Games and Sony recently announced bundles for Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PlayStation 4. In addition, packaging for the PlayStation 4 Pro shows that the online multiplayer part supports 2 to 32 players.
The maximum of 32 players for multiplayer is slightly higher than, for example, the limit at GTA Online, which is 30 players. The packaging also states that some of the online content for Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available exclusively to PlayStation 4 players for 30 days. Only then will it also be available on the Xbox One. It is not yet clear what exactly this content is. The game will be released on October 26 for both platforms, but the online portion will be available a little later, on November 2.
In the form of the fine print on the packaging, you can also read that at least 105GB of storage space is required for Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PS4 Pro. That may be lower for the regular PlayStation 4, because textures with higher resolutions are presumably used with the Pro console.
The installation size is not excessive, there are more games that need so much space. For example, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 needs 101GB on the PlayStation 4. Open world game GTA V, a game that dates back to 2013, settles for 76GB.
Developer Rockstar recently announced that in Red Dead Redemption 2, players can not only make a career in the Van der Linde gang, but also enjoy themselves as a fighter. The game contains two hundred kinds of animals for that.
