Realme releases X50 smartphone with 5G and 120Hz screen for 349 euros
Realme has released its X50 5g smartphone in Europe. The device has a Snapdragon 765G soc from Qualcomm and supports 5G on sub-6GHz frequencies. The smartphone costs 349 euros and has 128GB storage and 6GB memory.
The Realme X50 has a 6.57″ LCD with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. That equates to an aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz and is finished with Gorilla Glass 5 from Corning. The phone has dimensions measuring 163.8×75.8mm, is 8.9mm thick and weighs 202 grams.Realme currently sells one version of the phone in Europe, with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage capacity.The company does offer two different colors: blue and green.
The device uses a Snapdragon 765G soc. It has two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 variants. The GPU is an Adreno 620. The chip is made using a 7nm process. This chip also supports 5g thanks to the integrated X52 modem. The Realme X50 only appears to support 5g at sub-6GHz frequencies, judging by the supported frequency bands listed on the phone’s product page.
The smartphone has a battery capacity of 4200mAh and comes with a 30W fast charger. Furthermore, users can place two SIM cards in the X50. When this is done, only the primary sim supports 5g. A fingerprint scanner is housed in the on/off button and the device also has NFC.
The Realme X50 has four cameras on the back. The primary camera has a 48-megapixel resolution. The phone also features an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera. The phone also has a 2 megapixel macro camera and a black and white camera for taking portrait photos. The phone can record up to 4k videos at 30fps, or 1080p footage at 60fps. The front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels. A second front camera with 2-megapixel resolution is also present; which is intended for taking portrait photos. The front camera can record 1080p videos at 120fps, according to Realme.
Realme supplies the device with Realme UI software based on Android 10. The device is available via the manufacturer’s European website for 349 euros.
