Realme hints at the arrival of foldable smartphones

The Chinese smartphone brand realme hints that foldable smartphones are coming. The brand has not released any foldable phones so far. Realme sister brands OPPO and Vivo already did that and a model from sister brand OnePlus is also coming.

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has asked a question whether his followers would like to see a Fold or Flip phone. Flip usually refers to a folding phone with a folding screen, Fold is usually about a folding phone that can be unfolded into a small tablet.

Realme shares design and parts sourcing with OPPO, Vivo, and OnePlus, among others. OPPO and Vivo have already released foldable phones and OnePlus will do the same. Almost all major smartphone brands are working on foldable smartphones. Samsung and Xiaomi, among others, have models with a foldable screen. Only Apple doesn’t have it.
