Razer Introduces Wired Naga Chroma Mouse for MMO Gaming
Razer comes with a new wired mouse for massive multiplayer online games. The Naga Chroma is equipped with twelve mechanical buttons on the side, which can be operated with the thumb. In total there are nineteen programmable buttons.
According to Razer, the Naga Chroma’s sensor offers an accuracy of 16,000dpi, in steps up to 1dpi. This makes the mouse almost twice as accurate as the wireless Naga Epic Chroma, which Razer has had in its range since early 2015. According to the manufacturer, the high accuracy makes the gaming mouse suitable for setups of multiple monitors or screens with a high resolution. The response time is 1ms.
The mouse features Razer’s Chroma module, which allows users to customize the colors of the lighting effects themselves in the Razer Synapse software. Both the scroll wheel and the twelve buttons on the side are illuminated and can be set individually. Also, the new mouse is added to the Chroma SDK. Game developers can use this to make the mouse light up during certain events in a game.
Including the 2.1 meter long USB cable, the Naga Chroma weighs 135 grams. The mouse is 119mm long, 75mm wide and 43mm high. Razer has released the Naga Chroma in the US for $80, which is about $90 including VAT. The gaming mouse should be available worldwide during November.
