Razer Introduces New Blade 15 Entry-level Model and Smartphone Gamepad

Razer has announced two new configurations of its Blade 15. These are cheaper models than those that were already available, with space for a hard drive next to the SSD. In addition, the Razer Raiju Mobile, a console gamepad, will appear.

The two new Razer Blade 15 models have the same Core i7-8750H as the models already on the market and also come with 16GB of RAM. The video card is the GTX 1060 Max-Q. The screen is a matte 1080p panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, where more expensive Blade 15s have a 144Hz display.

Compared to the other models, there are two storage media instead of a single one. The cheapest model is a 128GB SATA SSD with a 1TB HDD. The other is a 256GB NVME PCI-E SSD and a 2TB HDD. In addition, there is room for another m2 and a 2.5″ SSD.

Furthermore, Razer saves on the keyboard backlight: it now occupies a single zone. The new models with 19.8 mm are also somewhat thicker than the 16.8 mm of the other Blade 15 models with GTX 1060. On the other hand, there is now an Ethernet port. It is missing from the other models. The two new Blade 15 laptops will be released in Europe in November. Razer also announced a white Blade 15, but it will only be available in the US, Canada and China.

Razer is also introducing the Razer Raiju Mobile at the same time. This is a mobile gamepad into which an Android phone must be plugged in, after which the connection is made via bluetooth. The holder can be tilted up to 60 degrees and there are four buttons whose functions the user can adjust. Some games that work with the accessory include Vainglory, Lineage 2, Dead Trigger 2, and Gear-Club. The price is 150 euros.
