Razer Introduces BlackWidow Elite Keyboard and Mamba Wireless Mouse
Razer announces a new variant of its mechanical BlackWidow keyboard and a wireless version of its Mamba mouse. In addition, the company is coming with the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset.
Compared to the BlackWidow, the BlackWidow Elite keyboard features upgraded mechanical keys. These are Razer’s own Mechanical Switches, which are available in green, orange and yellow variants. According to the manufacturer, the switches are reinforced and more resistant to dust and moisture. The keyboard has a dial on the side, which Razer also added to the Huntsman Elite. The button can be used in combination with software to switch weapons in games, for example. There are also three media buttons and there is support for Hypershift, with which any key, or key combination, can be linked to a macro. Razer sells the BlackWidow Elite for a suggested retail price of 180 euros.
The Mamba Wireless is, as the name implies, a wireless variant of the Mamba mouse. The mouse has Razer’s optical sensor with a sensitivity of 16,000 dpi and recording speed of 450 inches per second, as well as the company’s own mechanical switch. There are seven programmable buttons and players can store five profiles both on the memory in the mouse itself and online at Razer’s Cloud Storage service. According to the manufacturer, the Mamba can last up to fifty hours on a full battery charge. The price is 100 euros.
Finally, there is the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset. This is a variant of the Kraken Pro V2 with support for THX audio playback and a USB controller. Like the Pro V2, the Kraken Tournament Edition has 50mm drivers and comes in green. The sale will start in September for 100 euros.
