Raijintek Announces Ophion and Ophion EVO Enclosures
Taiwanese cooler, power supply and housing manufacturer Raijintek has announced the Ophion and Ophion EVO. These are m-itx enclosures with a glass panel, intended for the mainstream market.
Both the Ophion and Ophion EVO provide access to the interior through reinforced glass windows on both sides. The front panel is made of brushed aluminum in both cases. The enclosures support m-itx motherboards on the left, with video card space on the right, via a mount. The video card can have a maximum length of 330mm. Raijintek supplies a riser cable.
The Ophion cases can accommodate three 120mm fans, two on the top and one on the bottom. Only with the EVO can the bottom fan have a thickness of 25mm instead of 15mm. There is also a difference with regard to the space for storage media. While both can hold a single 3.5″ HDD, the Ophion can accommodate up to three 2.5″ storage media instead, while the EVO can accommodate four if no 3.5″ drive is present. In addition, only the EVO has the option to include a 240mm AIO cooler.
The manufacturer mentions suggested retail prices of 119.99 and 129.95 British pounds for the Ophion and the Ophion EVO respectively. That is converted successively 135 and 146 euros.
