Rabobank stops support Banking app for Windows Phone
Rabobank will stop supporting the Banking app on Windows next month. As a result, it is no longer possible to use the app on Windows smartphones. The bank refers customers to a new environment in the browser.
As of December 7, the Rabo Banking app will no longer be available for devices with the Windows operating system, the Rabobank website states. Also iOS 7.0 or lower and Android 3.0 or lower will no longer be supported from that date.
There are currently no plans for a new Windows Phone app, the bank reports. Customers with a Windows smartphone can continue to do their banking via mobile via Rabo Online Banking. This is a new online environment that works in the browser. Customers must register here once with their Rabo Scanner and can then log in with a five-digit code.
ABN Amro already stopped supporting Windows Phone in May and SNS Bank did the same on 1 October. ING has another app for Windows smartphones, but it hasn’t received any updates for a long time. ING suggested in a tweet earlier this year that it is ‘the expectation’ that the app will be supported until the end of this year and no longer after that.
