Qualcomm to release Snapdragon 810 on schedule

Development of the chip is progressing according to schedule, a spokesperson reported to Techradar. The Snapdragon 810 is an octacore 64bit soc with four Cortex A57 processor cores and four Cortex A53 cores. The soc also has an integrated Adreno 430 GPU.

A few days ago, based on anonymous sources, it emerged that the Snapdragon 810-soc suffered from several problems. For example, the chip is said to overheat at a certain voltage. In addition, the ram controller and the gpu would contain errors. LG, Samsung and Sony would fear that Qualcomm cannot deliver the soc as planned.
