Qualcomm calls the arrival of Asus ROG Phone 3 and ZenFone 7

Asus comes with a third version of its ROG gaming smartphone and a new ZenFone model. This is apparent from a list that Qualcomm has put online with phones that get the Snapdragon 865 soc.

Qualcomm puts the ROG Phone 3 and ZenFone 7 on a list of phones coming soon. Asus has not yet announced anything about the devices, but according to the chip designer they will be presented soon. Also on the list are the Legion Gaming Phone, the Black Shark 3 and the Nubia Red Magic 5G. The manufacturers of these gaming smartphones have already posted teasers of their devices in recent times.

The list also mentions the Samsung S20 series, in the US those devices get the Snapdragon socs. The versions for Europe are equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 990. All devices on the list will receive 5g support. The Snapdragon 865-soc does not have a built-in modem, but must be combined with the X55 modem, which supports 5g on sub-6GHz and mmWave frequencies.
