QNAP Introduces Flat ‘NASbook’ With Space For Four SSDs
QNAP has announced the TBS-453DX, a flat nas that the company refers to under the name NASbook. The manufacturer has designed the compact NAS for small workspaces and mobile workers. The company is also introducing the passively cooled HS-453DX.
The TBS-453DX has dimensions of 25x230x165mm and space for four m2 2280 SSDs, but not for HDDs. The processor is an Intel Celeron J4105. The manufacturer reports that the NAS is ‘whisper quiet’, but not whether the NAS is passively cooled. The model has a 10Gbit/s and a Gigabit Ethernet port. There are also HDMI 2.0 and three USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 connections, all of type-a. QNAP is releasing 4GB and 8GB versions of the HS-453DX.
QNAP also makes the HS-453DX available. The company does report that this NAS is passively cooled. The processor in this system is also the Intel Celeron J4105, but there is room for two M2 SSDs and two 3.5″ or 2.5″ HDDs. In addition to four type-a-usb ports, the HS-453DX also has a type-c variant and there is hdmi 2.0 and 1.4b. The dimensions are 42.8x404x220mm and this system also comes in a 4GB and 8GB version.
