QNAP Gives NAS Systems Support for TeamViewer
TeamViewer is now available in QNAP’s App Center and can be installed on QNAP NAS systems. TeamViewer allows users to manage NAS devices from a Windows PC.
QNAP says it will ship the TeamViewer software on the company’s NAS systems from now on. The software allows users to remotely access, manage and monitor multiple NAS devices. The TeamViewer software supports, among other things, masked IP addresses and end-to-end 256-bit encryption.
A Windows PC is required to remotely manage NAS systems, reports QNAP. Also, users need a TeamViewer account. A free account is sufficient for the first two connected NAS systems, but after that you have to pay. Furthermore, a NAS system can only be linked to one TeamViewer account. Finally, only QNAP x86 or ARM 64-bit NAS systems will work with the TeamViewer software, and a minimum of QTS version 5.0 or QuTs hero version-h5.0 is required.
