Pvp mode beta test for Fallout 76 goes live in March
Fallout 76 is getting a pvp mode called Survival. The beta test of this mode will go live in March. It is unknown how long the beta testing period will last. Survival will be a separate mode that players can select at the home screen, in addition to the regular Adventure mode.
Bethesda reports that Survival will be more difficult than regular mode. For example, players don’t have to send requests to others in order to fight against them. When players die, they risk losing valuable items and are sent back to the Vault or their camp. Group members cannot kill each other.
The increased difficulty is offset by higher rewards. Players can earn double the amount of Bottle Caps if they kill another player. Survival will also be provided with its own leaderboard.
Bethesda emphasizes that the decisions for the pvp mode are not fixed and that changes can still be made during beta testing. The pvp mode was announced in December, in addition to a number of updates planned for this month. At the time, little was known about the content of the mode.
