PUBG map Sanhok will be temporarily available on PC test server from Friday
The new, relatively small map Sanhok will be playable this weekend on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds experimental test server. According to developer PUBG Corp, this is likely to be the final test for the map that will be officially released for PC at the end of June.
In Europe, Sanhok will be accessible on the experimental test server during the night of May 31 to June 1, after which the public testing period will end on June 4. PUBG Corp. let Steam know that the map will be officially released at the end of June, if everything goes according to plan.
It is not yet clear when the Sanhok map will also be available for testing by Xbox One players. The desert map Miramar came out on the console test servers at the end of April and this second PUBG map was only officially released for the Xbox One a few days ago, so it will probably be a while before Sanhok can be tried as well. Miramar has been available on PC for some time now.
The smaller Sanhok map, which is characterized by height differences and a jungle, has an area of only 16 km² in contrast to the much larger maps Miramar and Erangel. The test servers for this map have so far been a place to experiment with various improvements. The developer recently announced that quite a few optimizations will be made in the near future, so that the performance in the game will be better.
