PS4 version Watch Dogs runs at 1080p at 60fps
Sony has announced that Ubisoft game Watch Dogs, which will be released at the end of May, will run on the PlayStation 4 with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and at 60 frames per second. It is unknown at what resolutions the game will run on other platforms.
A Sony-made product page for Watch Dogs reveals that Ubisoft’s action-adventure game will be playable in full HD on the PlayStation 4 at 60 frames per second. With that, the PS4 seems to be the only platform outside the PC that Watch Dogs can offer in that form. Although it is not yet formally known with which resolutions Watch Dogs will run on other platforms, there have been rumors that the game would run in 960p on, for example, the Xbox One.
The product page also shows that the PlayStation platform exclusive extra missions are only temporarily exclusive. While gamers will be able to play the content on a PlayStation console first, the extra missions will also be available for PC. It is not known whether the content will later be brought to the Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U.
Watch Dogs releases on May 27 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. A version for the Nintendo Wii U is planned, but will be released at a later date.
