Proximus announces price increases for 2018
Provider Proximus has announced the rate increases for its subscriptions, which will take effect on January 1, 2018. The prices of certain Packs will increase by two to four euros and the discounts for many mobile subscriptions in Packs will decrease.
Proximus has put the new rates online on its own page, divided into subscriptions and call rates. Customers who now have a Pack with telephony and TV will pay 2.20 euros more from 1 January. The increase of 4 euros applies to customers with the Internet and Telephony Packs, and Internet and TV, bringing the price to 59 euros per month. An additional TV decoder is 1 euro more expensive. Older Packs sold until October 2016 are usually 2 euros more expensive.
A price increase of 2 euros applies to the mobile subscriptions Start bis, Start 5 and Smile 5. Other subscriptions, including many Easy and Smart subscriptions in addition to two Generation subscriptions, receive a reduction of the Pack discount by 2 or in some cases 3 euros. The standard rate for the fixed line increases by 1 euro to 23.13 euro.
National mobile calls that take place outside that bundle will also become more expensive. Many Easy, Smart and Mobilus subscriptions have a new rate of 30 instead of 25 cents. The rate for national calls to the landline goes to 15 cents. The TV packages Nature & Discoveries, Music & Culture and the Entertainment package sold until October 2016 will cost 7.95 euros instead of 5.95 euros.
