The Proton Pass app, Proton's password manager, has been released for Linux and macOS. Proton has also released a Proton Pass browser extension for Apple's Safari browser.

The Linux version supports all RedHat and Debian based distros such as Ubuntu, Fedora and CentOS, reports Proton. Many customers wanted the apps for the other desktop platforms, the company says. The Windows version was released in March. Proton Pass has been around since last year and could previously be used as an iOS or Android app or as an extension for Chrome and Firefox. Just like all Proton packages the source code of Proton Pass is open source available.
