Slightly Mad Studios has announced Project Cars 3. The game looks much more like an arcade racer than its predecessors, which leaned more towards the sim racing genre. The third part will be released in the summer for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Developer Slightly Mad Studios, which was acquired by Codemasters late last year, has put a trailer online. It is immediately clear from the short video that the game is moving more towards the arcade. The images are reminiscent of games such as Forza and Need For Speed. On a website, the studio provides more details about the upcoming racing game. The game gets more than 200 cars and 140 tracks. Players can customize and upgrade cars and earn credits and XP by winning races.

According to the creators, Project Cars 3 has fully scalable tools to make the game interesting for gamers of all skill levels. The game uses a new model for the behavior of the wheels on the road surface, which, according to the studio, delivers both convincing and enjoyable handling.

The game has a 24-hour cycle and varying weather conditions. Furthermore, the studio promises intense crash effects and improved artificial intelligence. The PC version will get support for virtual reality and up to 12k resolutions.
