Product image of white Moto G4 Plus appears online
A suspected render of a white Moto G4 Plus has surfaced online. The image was put on Twitter by the well-known ‘telephone guy’ Evan Blass. Blurred photos and a hands-on video of the new Moto G have previously appeared online. The YouTube video has since been removed.
Blass’ tweet under his twitter account @evleaks shows a white Moto G4 Plus. The render shows a fingerprint reader on the front and a small hole on the left. However, Tuesday’s YouTube video showed a phone without a fingerprint reader, Android Authority writes. The site suspects that there will be a Moto G4 and a G4 Plus or Pro.
What is ultimately correct will only become clear when the current owner of Motorola, Lenovo, actually presents the models. Blass sent previously tweeted an image of a fingerprint scanner stating ‘Moto G4 Plus’.
In addition to the leaked renders, photos of a suspected G4 have already appeared before, although there is some discussion about possible edits to these images. The photos show that there is a small hole next to the camera module. It is speculated that it is a microphone on the rear.
A similar hole can be seen to the left of the fingerprint scanner, in both the renders and the photos. This could be a microphone, but also a notification light. Lenovo decided at the beginning of this year that it will replace the Motorola brand name in 2016 with Moto by Lenovo. The ‘batwing’ logo will remain on the housing.
