Tesla plans to sell the cheapest version of its semi-truck for $150,000. This is the version that can cover a distance of 450 kilometers on a battery charge.

The car manufacturer has put the expected introductory prices on its website. The version with a larger battery, which is expected to cover 750 kilometers, is also mentioned; it costs 180,000 dollars, or 151,000 euros converted. With such prices, Tesla hopes to compete with conventional combustion engine trucks, which typically fall in the same price category.

According to Tesla, driving the electric Semi-truck provides fuel savings of up to $200,000 compared to driving a conventional truck. Incidentally, Tesla does not state over which period those savings could be achieved.

Tesla unveiled its Semi-truck last week, but the company had previously said it was working on an electric truck. Prices, however, had not yet been announced.
