Presumed specs of budget phone Motorola with 5G appear online
The suspected specifications of a budget phone with 5G from Motorola have appeared online. Until now, phones with 5G have been midrange or high-end phones. The device would run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon soc from the 400 series.
No render, but mock-up of Motorola Ibiza
The device is codenamed Ibiza, Techniknews reports. The site collated the information with an author from XDA-Developers. The soc used is the Qualcomm 4350 on a sign codenamed Holi. Further details about the soc, other than that the modem has 5G support, is unknown.
It has been known for some time that Qualcomm wants to release a soc in the 400 series with 5G support. So far, socs from the 600, 700 and 800 series from the chip designer have 5G on board, but that is not yet the case for the cheaper 400 series socs.
The Motorola Ibiza has a screen with a waterdrop notch, an LCD with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone also has a Samsung s5k3l6 sensor as the primary camera. That sensor has a maximum resolution of 48 megapixels. The front camera is 13MP.
It is still unknown when the Motorola Ibiza should be released and what it should cost. Given the specs, it is in the segment around 200 euros. The cheapest 5G phones are currently around 250 euros. Lenovo released one of the cheapest models with 5G last year with the Moto G 5G.
