The smartphone initiate Evan Blass, known for his twitter account @evleaks, has put a press image online that most likely shows the Samsung Galaxy S8. The photo shows a smartphone with a screen that covers almost the entire front, and the date is March 29.

Blass is known for leaking data and images from unannounced smartphones. In his tweet with the image he does not say that it is the Galaxy S8, but it is almost certain that it is the new flagship from Samsung.

For example, the lockscreen shows the date March 29. On that day, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event, where it will likely unveil the smartphone. The appearance also corresponds to all rumors and previously leaked information. For example, there is no physical home button and various sensors can be seen at the top next to the front camera. It is probably the necessary parts for an iris scanner.

The image shows that Samsung uses a screen with a ratio of approximately 2:1, or 18:9. That is the same screen ratio as that of the LG G6. As with that device, the corners of the screen are rounded.

Last week Samsung presented its Exynos 9-series 8895-soc, which will probably be used in the device. It is an octacore made on a 10nm finfet process with four Samsung-designed cores and four ARM Cortex-53 cores. The GPU is the Mali-G71 in a version with twenty cores. The integrated modem supports 4G speeds of up to 1Gbit/s.
