A presentation has surfaced online of upcoming AM4 motherboards from Asus and Gigabyte. The images show high-end motherboards for the new Ryzen processors, including the Asus Crosshair VI Hero and Prime X370.

The Crosshair VI Hero seems to be Asus’ top model for Ryzen processors. The motherboard is marketed as a board for gamers. According to the slides, the design of the pcb and the VRMs has been adjusted and tailored to users who want to overclock their processor. There are a total of six PWM headers for connecting fans.

The Crosshair motherboard also gets two headers for the Asus Aura rgb system and an ess sabre-dac, which should ensure high audio quality. There is support for NVME SSDs in M2 form factor and a front header with USB 3.1. The presentation also shows the Prime X370 from Asus. According to the accompanying text, this is a ‘mainstream’ model. This motherboard has one Aura header and is also suitable for overclocking Ryzen processors.

Features of the AM4 motherboards in the Aorus Gaming Series can be seen from Gigabyte. Specific model numbers are not mentioned. The Gigabyte motherboards also have plenty of options for RGB LEDs. There is also an app that allows you to set the lighting of different parts.

The full presentation is on imgur. It is not clear who put the presentation online. According to HardOCP, the slides are from an AMD Meet the Experts session, which was held on Tuesday. Presumably it was not the intention that the information was put publicly online, although there is no embargo date with the slides.

AMD will release its Ryzen processors in early March. This was confirmed by CEO Lisa Su during the presentation of the quarterly figures. The motherboards will probably come out at the same time or before that time.
