Postponed Computex fair in September is canceled
The organization of the Computex hardware fair in Taiwan has canceled the postponed version of the fair in September. The Computex was supposed to take place physically at the end of September, but will now be an online event.
The next physical fair will take place from 1 to 5 June, the organization writes. The intention was to hold a shortened version of the fair at the end of September, but that has been cancelled. Organizer Taitra does have a number of online events planned, including an Online 2D Exhibition from the time the fair would open on September 28.
The reason for the postponement is that there are still travel restrictions from many countries to Taiwan, which would prevent many visitors and exhibitors from coming. They would still be in effect in September. The Computex is the latest in a long list of tech fairs canceled this year. The IFA will continue in September, but with only a thousand invitees instead of tens of thousands of visitors. CES should also continue early next year.
