Poster points to The Last of Us Part II coming in October

A Peruvian game store’s promotional poster about The Last of US Part II mentions the game’s release in October this year. Sony and developer Naughty Dog have not yet announced anything official about a release date.

The poster from the game store LawGamers shows the game with the presale prices, with the text “lanzamento: octubre 2019” at the very bottom, or “release: October 2019”. The poster does not appear to be online at the store at the time of writing.

It happens more often that stores put placeholders for upcoming games on their site, sometimes entering release dates that are usually incorrect. This time it concerns a date that is mentioned on promotional material. According to The Loot Gaming, Sony also recently hosted a behind-closed-door conference where details were shared about the games the company will release this year, though that site is still holding out.

The second installment in The Last of Us series was announced in December 2016 and stars Joel and Ellie return. In the game, however, Ellie and not Joel is the protagonist.
