Possible screenshots of renewed apps for Samsung Galaxy S5 pop up
Samsung fan site SamMobile has put a number of screenshots online showing new versions of the Samsung apps S Health App, S Voice and WatchON. The apps are said to be intended for the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The screenshots show that Samsung has given its apps, which it installs by default on its Galaxy phones, a ‘flattened’ design, a direction that Google has already taken with Android 4.4. In addition, the site reports that the ‘Siri clone’ S Voice would also have faster voice recognition, although the app would still struggle with some accents.
The new S Health application offers the possibility to control the music player while showing a map with the current location on the same screen. This option is useful for joggers, for example. Finally, the WatchOn app only seems to have undergone some cosmetic changes.
According to SamMobile, the screenshots were made on a firmware version intended for the Galaxy S5. This device is expected to be shown for the first time in three weeks at the telecom fair Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
