Possible Qualcomm Snapdragon 835-soc specs come out
Presumed specifications have surfaced of the Snapdragon 835, the new top model in the series of socs for mobile phones. The whole would be based on an improved version of the Kryo 200 architecture with a total of eight cores. The Snapdragon 660 also appeared.
The information first appeared on a Chinese website and was picked up by GizmoChina. According to the leaked specifications, Qualcomm uses the Kryo architecture just like with the Snapdragon 820, but it has been adapted for the Snapdragon 835. The soc would now consist of 4 + 4 cores, referring to four fast and four slow, instead of the 2 + 2 of the Snapdragon 820. Furthermore, the Adreno 540 GPU is mentioned and four-channel lpddr4x ram is supported. .
Incidentally, the leaked information also betrays the arrival of a possible Snapdragon 660. This also has the Kryo architecture with four fast and four slower cores, but with the Adreno 512 it does have a slightly less well-performing gpu. Less ram can also be built in, according to the specifications sheet. One of the manufacturers mentioned for the Snapdragon 660 is Oppo.
Qualcomm itself has not yet confirmed the specifications mentioned, but has already announced the Snapdragon 835-soc. One of the most notable features that the chip designer did disclose is the use of Samsung’s 10nm FinFet process to manufacture the Snapdragon 835. Also support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0, with which five minutes of charging can provide five hours of battery time. The company has announced that the first mobile phones will be equipped with the soc in the first half of next year.
