Pokémon Sleep will be released this summer for Android and iOS
The Pokémon Company will release Pokémon Sleep for Android and iOS this year. The smartphone app lets users collect Pokémon by sleeping. The app was first announced in 2019.
The Pokemon Company reports during his Presents livestream that Pokémon Sleep will be released this summer. The app tracks the length and quality of users’ sleep and lets them collect Pokémon while they sleep. Users must place their phone next to their pillow on the bed.
The app measures three different types of sleep: dozing, snoozing and slumbering. Depending on the sleep type, players can collect other Pokémon. The game revolves around Snorlax, the Pokémon known for its sleepiness. The app also contains a new professor who researches that Pokémon.
The Pokémon Company also announces a new optional device: the Pokémon GO Plus+. This is a new version of the existing Pokémon GO device, which this time can also function as a sleep tracker for Pokémon Sleep. That device should be released in July; the suggested retail price is not yet known.
