Pokémon Go players will soon be able to get a ‘Buddy’ Pokémon
In Pokémon Go, the so-called Buddy system will soon be introduced. This allows players to label their favorite Pokémon as a buddy, which can earn various rewards.
Developer Niantic announced the arrival of the Buddy-Pokémon on her blog. Images also appeared, so that it is already somewhat clear what the system will look like. The intent of Buddies is for players to link their favorite Pokémon to collect rewards. For example, it is possible to collect extra candy by walking with the Buddy-Pokémon, which makes the digital creatures stronger, or to pay for an evolution. It is also possible to customize the linked Buddy-Pokémon.
Niantic also talks about other rewards, but it is not yet clear what exactly this means. Also, the developer has not yet told when the update with the Buddy system will come out, but it would be soon.
There are still a number of new features to be released for the popular Pokémon game in the fall. No details on this have been released yet, but it has been suggested for some time that Niantic is working on a trading system, and improvements for combat in gyms.
